This marks an alarming 11.1% rise from the previous year, setting a new record for annual abuse cases since data collection began.

Of the 2,649 reported cases, 2,136 were categorized as physical abuse, 431 as sexual abuse, 54 as psychological abuse, and 28 as neglect.

Additionally, authorities documented 32 cases of child homicide.

The total number of child abuse victims stood at 2,700 in 2024, a staggering 285% increase from 2023, according to the agency's findings.

The year also saw 52 child deaths directly linked to abuse.
