Lavrov Holds Talks with Indian, Pakistani Officials
The conversation took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers summit in Tianjin, China, according to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During the dialogue, "special attention was paid to the situation around Ukraine and in the Middle East."
Both parties agreed to maintain coordination on "cooperation between Russia and India in key multilateral formats."
The Russian Foreign Ministry also highlighted that the two ministers reviewed topics concerning their nations' bilateral collaboration.
In a separate engagement, Lavrov conferred with Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, as reported by the Russian foreign service.
This discussion centered on multiple dimensions of Russo-Pakistani relations, in addition to pressing regional and global security matters.
The current gathering of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers in Tianjin is intended as groundwork for the upcoming SCO summit, which is scheduled to be held in the same city from August 30 to September 1.
