Trump dismisses critics for pushing on release of Epstein’s files
Growing frustration within Trump’s own party has emerged in response to a recent report by the Department of Justice and FBI, which stated that no such list of high-profile clients exists—despite Trump previously suggesting otherwise.
Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking, was later found hanged in his jail cell in New York. His death has fueled ongoing speculation, with many suspecting foul play aimed at protecting influential individuals allegedly linked to his criminal activities.
In a post published Wednesday on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: “Let those weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work,” apparently referring to Republican skeptics, adding that he no longer “want[s] their support anymore.”
Later that day, speaking from the Oval Office, Trump mentioned that U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi could still release additional documents but criticized “some stupid and foolish Republicans” for being manipulated by Democratic narratives and remaining fixated on the case.
In an earlier social media post on Saturday, Trump labeled the controversy the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” accusing Democrats of fabricating the issue and expressing frustration that former allies had believed what he described as “bulls---, hook, line, and sinker.”
