Delta Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Minnesota
Delta Flight DL56, which had departed from Salt Lake City and was bound for Amsterdam, was rerouted to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, landing safely at around 7:45 p.m. local time.
Medical teams met the aircraft upon arrival to provide assistance and evaluate those onboard. “Twenty-five of those on board were transported to local hospitals for evaluation and care. We are grateful for the support of all emergency responders involved,” the airline stated.
Officials noted that “Safety is our No. 1 value at Delta, and our Delta Care Team is working directly with passengers to support their immediate needs.”
The flight was operated using an Airbus A330-900, carrying 275 passengers and 13 crew members.
